Allergies, Asthma & COVID-19

Symptom confusion and the COVID-19 connection

Symptoms present in an asthma patient and that patient must ascertain by themselves, with the assistance of a family caregiver, or perhaps with a provider via a tele-health visit whether they are experiencing usual symptoms of their allergies and/or asthma or whether they have been exposed and have contracted COVID-19. This is even more challenging when you add the common cold and the flu to the equation. For parents, school nurses, and teachers this symptom confusion is going to present great challenges when students return to school in the fall, even if they are attending remotely.
